Orphans, and communist, and gypsies...oh my.

Just kidding. There's a lot more to Romania than just that...but I'm still kind of trying tonfigure it out. What is Romanian culture?
Political Activists?
Bats?
Cute kids like little Joe
Triangle bridges and posing Gypsy boys
Stray Dogs?
Dead Dogs!
Gypsy Girls
Provo Temple?...no
And lots of other stuff...
What is Romanian culture?...check wikipedia

Hair today, gone tomorrow.

Well, boys and girls, I'm off to Romania, and returning to a BYU program means returning to BYU standards. And so...I am forced to shave my manhood.

And by that I mean my beard.

Read em and weep.

Been a while.

Whilst lying about in this 2 week hiatus before I leave, I decided to occupy my time doing something useful.
watching this bad boy...

Kelly suggested it, Danny and Marina suggested it...I had never heard of it due to it coming out while I was in NY, but I gave it a shot.

And I'm glad I did. Why?  Because it finally gives me the OC fix I've so desperately needed every since Marissa kicked the can back in '06 in the last episode of season 3.

Chuck likes to reuse players from the OC cast including...
Julie Cooper, playing a russian spy "sasha"
and....

Summer, playing Chuck's love interest "lou"

NOT TO MENTION AN ENTIRE SCENE COPIED FROM THE OC AND REDONE ON CHUCK!

feast.
i looked for videos but i just couldnt find them, but word for word i kid you not.

Point being, this has been one of the most BORING 2 week break ever...but, I have found a new love of Chuck and you should too. Keep it alive!

Peace!

Sundance Film Catastrophe

Friday Night: debating whether to go to the Sundance Film Festival the next day. I have a ton of homework...Brooke calls me and says we aren't friends if I don't go...I decide I'll go and we decide we are leaving at 7 in the morning

Saturday 6:30AM: I wake up to take a shower and get ready. AFTER I'm ready to go I get a text that we aren't leaving at 7 anymore...
Saturday 12:00PM: finally we leave...get to Park City, but no one told us we were supposed to go to this other spot. So we find this other spot, go there, find out it's no good, go back to where we were before.
2:00PM: we are waiting in the wait list line, about 12th in line which are actually really good spots, only 12 people have to not show up and then we get in. So we wait in the FREEZING snow for TWO hours, and after my toes have developed a level three frostbite we finally get our waiting numbers which end up being like 30 because of the CUTTERS... So we can go but have to be back in an hour.
4:30: we walk up and down main street of Park City and see this guy

5:30 back in the line.....waiting until 630 when the movie starts...we see (and actually talk with)
this guy

anyways

6:30: the lady comes out and says, "were sorry but there are no open seats left. thank you for being patient"

From many states and nations, from cities large and small, we serve the New York mission

Drove all the way to Bellevue and back to chill with Elder Sanders and catch up. Spent more time traveling than chilling (what is the deal w Washington traffic) but it was totally worth it. Although it made me a little sad. Nostalgia is such a weird thing. How can it make you so happy and so sad at the same time? Basically anytime I talk or think about my mission I feel nostalgic, so like...everyday...ugh. If I had one wish...

On the other hand last night was an exciting night. I saw two men sing Britney Speare's "Toxic" and I also saw a transvestite with green, glow in the dark teeth.

Washington

Washington is definately the most beautiful state, however it is full of allergies.
Seriously, the first day here I could hardldly breathe. Is there anything good about allergies? Do they have any beneficial significance in the circle of life? They must exist for a reason, but I don't know what it is.

Also, since when is it a requirement to be half whatever profession you are, and half salesman? I went to the optometrist today and the whole time he talked in this weird voice that I suspect was supposed to make me feel comfortable. He kept telling me I was doingnreally well and that my eyes were very nice. Then he capitalized on me being a student and how I must be smart and work really hard...then the sales tactics came. Apparently I need to buy these special lenses because I'm a student and they make "studying" easier. Obviously they are also more expensive. You are a doctor, not a businessman, get ou'ma' face.

Finals Week

Finals are over...minus one presentation, but that doesn't really count and I'm just gonna wing it.

Things I hate about finals week:

Studying
Library being crowded
Sitting all day and therefore getting FAT
Exams duh.
Most of all...sweatpants

Seriously, it's finals week not zero self awareness week. Finals is not an excuse to present yourself as a slob. Put some jeans on, you're not pregnant, and this is not your bedroom!

But it's over now so whatever, I'm going home.
Next semester=human development
I'm ready for my life to begin.
